The page design adopted by the present author in The Old English Version of the Gospels, EETS 304 (Oxford 1994) aims at a compromise between the format of the manuscripts and the requirements of modern biblical reference. A possible exception is Ker 112, from the collection of Albert Ehrman no. 888 (on deposit in the Bodleian Library, Oxford); a binding strip, now missing, contained fragments of Mt 27:45-66, which, according to Ker, 'appears to correspond in general with and is sometimes verbally the same as the OE version'.
