Overview: A failed assassination attempt by the New Age Rising Ancients has been made on Vorien, an Ancient vampire. The Protective Circle scrambles to guard him and find the culprit and Shyne Silvers, whose reputation proceeds her, is the leader of the mission. But as she goes to protect Vorien, she has to watch her own back for a would-be suitor who has turned into a dangerous stalker. A sadistic game has commenced, but must be kept under wraps for the duration of her mission. She cannot allow herself to be distracted--not with an Ancient's life on the line.
