The Prince and the Pauper is a novel written by American author Mark Twain. The story centers around two young boys who look identical in appearance, but one is a pauper and the other is Prince Edward, the son of King Henry VIII. A prince and a peasant temporarily switch lives, only to find themselves in a race against the clock to return the rightful heir to the throne and save the Kingdom from an evil plot.
