معرفی کتاب «Vascular Mechanisms in CNS Trauma (Springer Series in Translational Stroke Research Book 5)» نوشتهٔ Adam Chodobski, Brian J. Zink, Joanna Szmydynger-Chodobska (auth.), Eng H. Lo, Josephine Lok, MingMing Ning, Michael J. Whalen (eds.) در سال 2014. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

While there are a number of books on the market that deal with neuronal mechanisms and targets, the proposed book will be the only one to cover the vascular aspects of CNS trauma. The contributing authors will present basic mechanisms, explain cutting-edge experimental models and techniques, and provide several clinical chapters that provide treating physicians with some insight on the cases that they see in the ICU. The table of contents is diverse and comprehensive with chapters on molecular mechanisms, physiology, pharmacology, stem cells, genomics and proteomics, in vivo MRI and PET, as well as the clinical management of vascular parameters. Front Matter....Pages i-xx Front Matter....Pages 1-1 CNS Barriers in Neurotrauma....Pages 3-28 Mechanisms of Cerebral Edema Leading to Early Seizures After Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 29-45 Human Cerebral Blood Flow and Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 47-54 Gliovascular Targets in Traumatic CNS Injury....Pages 55-73 Neurovascular Responses to Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 75-103 The Effects of Intravascular Coagulation and Microthrombosis on Cerebral Perfusion After Brain Trauma....Pages 105-124 Barriers to Drug Delivery for Brain Trauma....Pages 125-140 Angiogenesis and Functional Recovery After Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 141-156 Vascular Mechanisms in Spinal Cord Injury....Pages 157-177 Neurovascular Mechanisms of Ischemia Tolerance Against Brain Injury....Pages 179-200 Stem Cells for Neurovascular Repair in CNS Trauma....Pages 201-222 Vascular Actions of Hypothermia in Brain Trauma....Pages 223-235 Front Matter....Pages 237-237 Vascular Responses in Rodent Models of Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 239-253 SAH Models: Review, New Modification, and Prospective....Pages 255-267 Age and Sex Differences in Hemodynamics in a Large Animal Model of Brain Trauma....Pages 269-284 Neutrophils as Determinants of Vascular Stability in the Injured Spinal Cord....Pages 285-302 Blood Biomarkers for Acute CNS Insults: Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke....Pages 303-331 Biomaterials for CNS Injury....Pages 333-352 Isolated Blood Vessel Models for Studying Trauma....Pages 353-359 Front Matter....Pages 361-361 Managing Edema and Intracranial Pressure in the Intensive Care Unit....Pages 363-378 Front Matter....Pages 361-361 Surgical Management of Traumatic Brain Edema....Pages 379-389 Optimizing Hemodynamics in the Clinical Setting....Pages 391-400 Cerebrovascular Autoregulation and Monitoring of Cerebrovascular Reactivity....Pages 401-420 Cerebrovascular Responses After Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 421-431 Subdural Hematoma in Non-accidental Head Injury....Pages 433-444 Blood Genomics After Brain Ischemia, Hemorrhage, and Trauma....Pages 445-457 Molecular Biomarkers in Neurocritical Care: The Next Frontier....Pages 459-471 Bedside Monitoring of Vascular Mechanisms in CNS Trauma: The Use of Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and Transcranial Doppler (TCD)....Pages 473-488 In Vivo MRI and MRS of Cerebrovascular Function Following Traumatic Brain Injury....Pages 489-504 Back Matter....Pages 505-518 "Vascular Mechanisms in CNS Trauma focuses on the vascular aspects of brain and spinal cord trauma Twenty nine chapters are arranged in three sections—Molecular Mechanisms; Experimental Models and Methods; and Clinical Challenges and Opportunities The first section addresses topics in the basic biology of brain and spinal cord trauma, ranging from the pathophysiology of cerebral endothelial cells and gliovascular interactions to the role of stem cells in neurovascular repair The second section covers experimental methods in rodent and in large animal models of CNS injury, as well as the use of biomaterials and biomarkers in studying the mechanisms of tissue response The third section deals with clinical issues in the monitoring and treatment of the patient with traumatic injury of the brain and spinal cord Contributors to the book include an integrated mix of basic scientists and clinicians from diverse institutions By presenting salient issues in CNS trauma from a vascular perspective, this book should make a unique contribution to the understanding of traumatic brain and spinal cord injury - Font no determinada Vascular Mechanisms in CNS Trauma focuses on the vascular aspects of brain and spinal cord trauma.¡ Twenty nine chapters are arranged in three sections{u2014}Molecular Mechanisms; Experimental Models and Methods; and Clinical Challenges and Opportunities.¡ The first section addresses topics in the basic biology of brain and spinal cord trauma, ranging from the pathophysiology of cerebral endothelial cells and gliovascular interactions to the role of stem cells in neurovascular repair.
