Narrated by Bhagwan Varaha himself to none other than Bhu-devi, Varaha Purana is known as the book of Vratas. It details several types of Vratas including Vratas associated with Thithis, Nakshatras, Days of the week, etc. Those interested can choose any Vrata that works for them in their own life. Varaha Purana describes at great length the worship of various deities including Kubera, Dharma, Surya, Chandra and Kamadhenu. The second part of Varaha Purana covers geography in detail, Glories of Durga and Prayaschithas of various types of Paapas.
