When Rhory's identical twin, King Tycen, is poisoned, Rhory is forced to take his place to cover up the disaster. With the help of their healer, he desperately searches for a cure while keeping the kingdom running. Even so, Rhory isn't certain he'll be able to keep up until the arrival of Prince Maya, who is not only ready to help with his specialized knowledge of plants, but is so very distracting. Saving Tycen is only the beginning, however, as the political intrigue that put Tycen in the healer's wing must still be unraveled. Even with Prince Maya's help, Rhory isn't certain the throne, or the kingdom itself, will survive the erupting turmoil.
