Tintin and the Picaros is the twenty-first tale in The Adventures of Tintin series, written and illustrated by Hergé. This was the last book Hergé was able to fully complete before his death. This story sees Tintin return to South America, this time with his friends to aid him in his plight. A dark tale of vengeance and hostages on a background of guerilla, Tintin and the Picaros sees the return of Tintin in San Theodoros, the country of The Broken Ear. The world's most famous travelling reporter gets caught up in a revolutionary adventure. Bianca Castafiore has been imprisoned by General Tapioca! Also accused of threatening Tapioca's dictatorship, Tintin, Calculus and Haddock jet off to the jungle HQ of the revolutionaries, and hatch a plot surrounding the upcoming carnival and Haddock's sudden and mysterious disgust for whiskey v. 1.
