معرفی کتاب «The yoga of power : tantra, shakti, and the secret way» نوشتهٔ Julius Evola; translated by Guido Stucco، منتشرشده توسط نشر Inner Traditions International; Distributed in the U.S. by American Inter-national Distribution Corp. در سال 1968. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.
Drawing from original texts on self-mastery, Evola discusses two Hindu movements--Tantrism and Shaktism--which emphasize a path of action to gain power over energies latent within the body.Yoga of Power is one of the first Evola books to be translated into English for good reason: When it was published, there was scarce literature about Hindu esotericism. Although there is certainly a lot more information available today than there ever once was, The Yoga of Power remains one of the best texts on the subject. You'd be hard-pressed to find a better explanation not only of the basic suppositions and metaphysics of Tantra, but also of ritual and practice. The second half of the book is dedicated to techniques you can practice yourself if you have the patience and qualifications to do so. The information within is accurate and very valuable.Although this text is challenging, as is the case for everything Evola has written, it's well worth sticking through to the end. When you get used to his characteristic run-on sentences and idiosyncratic phrase construction, its actually easier to read than anything else. Evola packs a lot of information and a lot of detail into a small space, and engages in a serious symbolic analysis that few authors, who care mostly for the "academic" aspect of esotericism, seldom bother to engage in. This is really a rare kind of book only he could have written. Read it if you're in need of a serious study of Tantra and of Shaktism in general. Reviews "Soon Evola will be an immovable object in the field of serious esotericism in the English-speaking world, as he already is for readers of Italian, French, and German. The Yoga of Power puts to shame those modern writers who have degraded Tantra to a subject for New Age sex manuals. To read his descriptions of the higher spiritual states is like watching a champion mountain-climber on a vertical glacier." ― Gnosis Magazine"This richly layered and exacting work will challenge and fascinate." ― MG, Napra Trade Journal
