معرفی کتاب «عدم قطعیت اندازهگیریها: متروولوژی فیزیکی و شیمیایی: تأثیر و تحلیل» (با عنوان لاتین The uncertainty of measurements : physical and chemical metrology : impact and analysis) نوشتهٔ Kimothi, Shri Krishna، منتشرشده توسط نشر American Society for Quality (ASQ) در سال 2002. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.
The uncertainty of measurement results is drawing attention of managers, metrologists and customers. The accuracy of measurements affects all of us in trade, commerce, safety, health care environmental protection and more. The quality of these measurements is regulated by a variety of government agencies. Measurement also plays an important role in manufacturing and service organizations. Use this book to learn more about metrology and the need for reliable measurements. You can also learn about measurement system and quality of measurement systems, objectives and methods. Statistical techniques in metrology are also explained. Examples of measurement data and random variables, probability density functions, sampling distribution, statistical estimation degrees of freedom and regression are included. An entire chapter is devoted to measurement errors. The book goes in-depth into explaining national and international measurement systems and standards, and includes a complete chapter on calibration and measurement trace ability. It will show how to evaluate various uncertainties in measurements using several approaches including international consensus. Content: Front Matter Preface Table of Contents 1. Shri Krishna Kimothi. Includes Bibliographical References And Index. With the uncertainly of measurement results drawing the attention of managers, metrologists, and customers, this comprehensive guide works to show the importance of metrology while explaining the science of the uncertainty of measurements. Kimothi shows how the accuracy of measurements affects all of us in trade, commerce, safety, health care, environmental protection, and more. External and internal customers, along with regulatory agencies, often prescribe measurement accuracy requirements. This book helps to sort out the current issues surrounding measurement reliability. Kimothi's explanations make it easier for organizations to understand the concerns of measurement uncertainty in decision-making. Newcomers to metrology will find Kimothi's explanations easy to follow because this book starts off with a comprehensive introduction to the basic principles of reliable measurements. As the text progresses, these basic principles provide a foundation for more and more advanced aspects of measurement uncertainty. The book the need for measurement certainty, techniques to achieve results, and standards in measurement. This comprehensive range of information makes this an ideal desk reference for metrology students and statistical quality enthusiasts. Falcone (vice president, Human Resources, Time Warner Cable; 2600 Phrases for Effective Performance Reviews), offers HR guidance here by giving us the beginnings of 101 tough conversations a manager may need to have with staff members. Grouped roughly by type of problem, the conversations each include a scenario, outline a solution with a sample piece of dialog, and alert the reader to potential legal or HR entanglements that might arise from the situation. Whether the book is of any use will depend on how comfortable the reader is in assuming Falcone's voice. The conversations generally follow a set pattern: force employees to admit their mistakes, make them feel guilt over it, extract their commitment to improve, and outline consequences if they don't. The sample dialogs themselves are apparently entirely fabricated, occasionally far-fetched, and begin to sound very similar over the course of the book. Those who have read Falcone's other books may want to pick this up for completeness, but most would be better served with something like Phillip L. Hunsaker and Tony Alessandra's more nuanced The Art of Managing People.
