معرفی کتاب «The Structure of Being: A Neoplatonic Approach (Studies in Neoplatonism: Ancient and Modern, Volume 4)» نوشتهٔ R. Baine Harris; International Society for Neoplatonic Studies، منتشرشده توسط نشر International Society for Neoplatonic Studies در سال 1982. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

The essays in this volume do not deal sufficiently with all the necessary questions entailed in a study of Neoplatonic logic, but they do provide a beginning for a consideration of some of them. They were not commissioned and are not products of single conference, but were presented at various meetings of the International Society for Neoplatonic Studies in the United States and Canada during the last four years. They have been selected because they focus, to some extent, upon the nature of Neoplatonic logic and methodology, broadly conceived. The title, 'The Structure of Being: A Neoplatonic Approach', has been chosen in order to emphasize that Neoplatonism is but one among many efforts to suggest how being may be conceived to be structured. More precisely, Neoplatonism is an effort to suggest a logic of being, namely, how being might be conceived to be logically structured. Although some elements of it are highly speculative, the logic on which Neoplatonism is based is not. It is the aim of the editor of this volume to draw attention to the importance of Neoplatonic logic and methodology, both in the general definition of Neoplatonism and in determining the nature of particular historical instances of it. This volume shows that Neoplatonism has, on the contrary, a characteristic and definable structure. It presents the logic of Neoplatonism and carefully distinguishes it from the logic of other forms of philosophy.
