معرفی کتاب «استرس نگاه او» (با عنوان لاتین The Stress Of Her Regard) نوشتهٔ Powers, Tim، منتشرشده توسط نشر Ace Books در سال 2011. این کتاب در فرمت epub، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

The Stress of Her Regard is a 1989 horror/fantasy novel by Tim Powers. It was nominated for the 1990 World Fantasy and Locus Awards in 1990,[1] and won a Mythopoeic Award. As with a number of Powers' other novels, it proposes a secret history in which real events have supernatural causes: in this case, the lives of famous English Romantic writers—as well as political events in central Europe during the early 19th century—are largely determined by a race of protean vampire-like creatures. Drawing from European and Middle Eastern mythology, Powers depicts these beings as having qualities of vampires, succubi, incubi, Lamia, fairies, and jinn. Not only predators but sometimes benefactors of humans, they are the basis for both the Muses and the Graeae. Real people figuring in the novel include: George Gordon, Lord Byron and his involvement in the Carbonari, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Mary Shelley and her stepsister Claire Clairmont, John Keats & John Polidori. When Michael Crawford discovers his bride brutally murdered in their wedding bed, he is forced to flee not only to prove his innocence, but to avoid the deadly embrace of a vampire who has claimed him as her true bridegroom. Joining forces with Byron, Keats, and Shelley in a desperate journey that crisscrosses Europe, Crawford desperately seeks his freedom from this vengeful lover who haunts his dreams and will not rest until she destroys all that he cherishes. Told in the guise of a secret history, this long-awaited tale of passion and terror is finally back in print after more than 20 years.
