I was re-reading Helen Fielding's Bridget Jones's Diary at the time and I liked how it read, the humor, the characters... So I thought I would create something presented in the same format (a diary) and include similar tropes (a woman who struggles with her love life, a good-looking boss who sleeps around, humor) but I also wanted to add a bit of mystery and include some sizzling sex scenes... So that's how the idea for the book came, but then I decided to turn it into "an episodic novel" so I could publish each self-contained part separately, to get readers to follow along while I'm writing the next episode. Will the story have a happy ending? Yes, it will have its own kind of happy ending. It won't be a traditional happy..
