The Early Iron Age at Gordion: The Evidence from the Yassihöyük Stratigraphic Sequence The centerpiece of Jones' (classics, U. of Tennessee-Knoxville) work is a catalogue of foreign artifacts found at 33 sites in Crete, and Cretan artifacts found at overseas sites. He also, however, spends considerable attention pondering how they got there and reviewing the possibilities in detail. He discusses such topics as ships, harbors, travel, Crete and Cyprus, the importance of early iron age trade, agricultural risk and comparative advantage, and the sensitivity of the Greek economy to resources reallocations associated with trade. The catalogue lists artifacts by site. There are no illustrations aside from a map. c. Book News Inc
