The Regulation of Banks in the Member States of the EEC

Chapter 1 Belgium Central de la Petite Epargne, underthe Law of June 23,1967 on the control of private savings associations. In the Law of June 30, 1975 on the regulation of banks , private savings institutions and of certain other financial intermediaries, provision was made for the Office Central de la Petite Epargne to be wound up , and for control of the private savings institutions to be transferred to the Commission Bancaire. This was done by the Decree of January 23, 1976 effective on April 30, 1976. The scope of this chapter is limited to those institutions which are at the present time subject to the Banking Law.
