The Nonentity

Imagine if you will, you are raking leaves one warm fall day and stop for a breather. Turning into the cool northern breeze to refresh your spirit, you close your eyes to enjoy the moment. Upon opening your eyes, you are floating ten feet in the air. This happens to the main character of the book. However, he is a private person and chooses to keep it hidden from the world. He uses his new found power to help others where he can. Thinking he is a single anomaly, he soon finds other who fly as well. Where most, like him, enjoy the freeing feeling of flying, some use their power to gain undeserved benefits in life. The nameless man learns he can stop them and takes their power. He soon gains other powers as he interacts with other flyers. Then he meets an organization that is less than honest that tries to force him and friends into their evil ways. He takes them down while gaining more power. Eventually, he defends the Earth from an alien invasion. He does all this while guarding his privacy and remains a nonentity, a person who does not exist.
