## Contributors Luigi Einaudi. He was previously Manager of the Ufficio Italiano dei Camhi, President of Mediocredito Centrale, Minister of Foreign Trade and General Manager of the Banca d'ltalia. He has also been Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund, Director of the Bank for International Settlements and member of several other international financial committees. He is the author of many essays on monetary policy and the international financial system, among which are Verso il multilateralismo degli scambi e Ia convertibilita delle monete and Evoluzione della legislazione italiana sui controllo degli scambi e dei cambi. Emilio Colombo, Italian Minister of the Treasury, has been a Member of Parliament since 1948 and Prime Minister in 1970-72. Before becoming Treasury Minister for the first time in 1963, he had been a member of the Constituent Assembly in 1946-48 and Under Secretary of Agriculture and of Public Works, as well as Minister of Agriculture, of Foreign Trade, and of Industry and Commerce. He has also been Minister of Finance and Minister in charge of the Italian Representation to the United Nations. As Prime Minister and Treasury Minister, he has represented Italy at most international financial meetings and EEC ministerial councils. He is the author of several articles on monetary and financial problems.
