معرفی کتاب «The Inferior Oilvary Complex (Advances in Anatomy, Embryology and Cell Biology Book 155)» نوشتهٔ Anastasia Bozhilova-Pastirova, Wladimir Ovtscharoff (auth.)، منتشرشده توسط نشر Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg در سال 2000. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.
This monograph reports on the detailed morphology of the inferior olivary complex in representatives of submammalian and mammalian vertebrates, including human. The authors provide qualitative and quantitative analysis using Nissl-stained, Golgi-impregnated, GFAP-,CABA-, and parvalbumin-immunostained sections. Electron microscopical data from this sections and freeze-etching replicas extend the information of the olivary neurons, neuropil, glia cells and its plasticity. The intramembranous structure of synaptic membranes, dendrodendritic gap junctions and puncta adhaerentia is reported for the first time in the inferior olivary complex of rat, ground squirrel, cat and pigeon. Although many studies have established the connections of the inferior olivary complex, there have been relatively few studies on the morphology of this nuclear complex. On the base of the similar topographic relations and connections with the cerebellum, the inferior olivary complex is regarded as homologous in all vertebrates. We present comprehensive light microscopical qualitative and quantitative analysis of the inferior olivary complex of different representatives of submammalian and mammalian vertebrates, including human. A detailed comparison was made at the structural level. Cytoarchitecture and cellular morphology of the inferior olivary complex have been studied in several submammalian (carp, frog, lizard, tortoise, pigeon) and mammalian species (rat, cat, and for the first time ground squirrel Citellus citellus L), including human.
