THE FRENCH DISPATCH brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city. It stars Bill Murray, Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, and Owen Wilson. An American anthology comedy drama set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional twentieth century French city. The stories published in The French Dispatch Magazine feature an unstable painter ( The Concrete Masterpiece), a story inspired by the May 1968 student protests ( Revisions to a Manifesto), and the kidnapping of a police commissioner's son ( The Private Dining Room of the Police Commissioner). Anderson called it "a love letter to journalists"
