Alain Robbe-Grillet (1922 –2008) was a French writer and filmmaker. His first involvement with the cinema was in the early 1960’s; scripting one of the most controversial films of the decade, __L’Année dernière à Marienbad__ , directed by Alain Resnais.In this study the focus lies on the cinema of Robbe-Grillet .
