Malaya Books had intended to publish another collections of essays by Renato Constantino after the publication of his forthcoming book, "The Making of a Filipino". However, because his book, "The Filipinos in the Philippines," is being used in various Philippine colleges and universities, Malaya Books decided on a second collection of essays.
