Dennis Doherty is the real name of a convict who was incarcerated on Norfolk Island in the early 19th Century. The very worst prisoners were sent from the mainland of Australia to serve time in the tiny island of Norfolk Island in the South Pacific. Doherty is the narrator for a series of tales of the time, faithfully represented from historic records. The events he tells of, while a tour bus stops at various historic buildings, have been woven together to give an account of the times. This is not a story for the faint-hearted.
