As children, Perry, Annie, and Edgar Allen Poe met on a mystical beach out of space and time. Fifteen years later, Perry discovers that he is living the stones written by his alter ego, Edgar Allan Poe, as he encounters a world of reality gone mad. While following a childhood friend, a beautiful woman named Annie, who has fled for Europe on a mysterious black ship, Edgar Perry finds himself living out the stories written by his alter ego, Edgar Allan Poe, plunging him into a world where apes commit murder, ravens talk, and lead can be turned into gold
