معرفی کتاب «Teaching and Education in Fracture and Fatigue (ISTLI special publication ; 2)» نوشتهٔ International Conference On Structural Failure, Product Liability, And Techn. Insurance (5th : 1995 : Vienna, Austria), Rossmanith, H.-p. (hans-peter), International Society For Technology, Law, And Insurance در سال 1996. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.
The growing interest in the overlap between technical, legal and insurance aspects of technology and engineering is reflected in the formation of the new International Society for Technology, Law and Insurance (ISTLI). This book forms the proceedings of the founding symposium and contains wide ranging papers from engineers, lawyers, and other specialists in insurance, technical approvals and product liability. The interaction between engineering and the law is undergoing dramatic changes. Product liability, laws have been introduced in Japan, patent claims over living organisms have been made in bioengineering and the differing national laws of copyright protection and liability are in the process of harmonisation, especially in the European Union. The pace and complexity of these changes make it essential for technologists, lawyers, engineers and insurance experts to establish a common basis for understanding, co-operation and exchange of expertise. The recently founded International Society for Technology, Law and Insurance aims to foster such co-operation. This volume features 46 selected contributions which address various topical issues and the law. The most important issues relate to engineering risks, quality assurance and assessment and legal implications assiciated with them. Recent failure cases are explained and the technical, legal and insurance-related issues discussed in detail. Annotation This proceedings contains the best contributions to the series of seminars held in Vienna (1992), Miskolc, Hungary (1993 and 1994) and Vienna (1995) and provides a valuable resource for those concerned with the teaching of fracture and fatigue. It presents a wide range of approaches relevant to course and curriculum development. It is aimed particularly at those concerned with graduate and post-graduate education

This volume features 46 selected contributions which address various topical issues and the law. The most important issues relate to engineering risks, quality assurance and assessment, and the legal implications associated with them. Materials, structures and other products made from them are all subject to ruin, due to different causes, mainly due to fracture, corrosion, erosion and wear. The terms Fracture and Fatigue evoke strong images of failed and tired components.
