When Man lived in caves, he used sticks for weapons.Long before he learned to fashion an ingenious club, using sticks, stones, and leather, he picked upa handy tree branch and went hunting. There is evidence, too, that he used it on his companions --for what reason we can only conjecture. At any rate, stick fighting is as old as the human species.
