Spanish and Portuguese Across Time, Place, and Borders : Studies in Honour of Milton M. Azevedo

Her major fields of specialization are historical linguistics, language contact, and lexicography. She has also performed analyses of literary representations of nonstandard varieties, in particular those that characterize the speech of the Uruguay-Brazilian border, and has conducted studies on the speech of Africans and their descendants in Uruguay.
