Neale Hunter has written a new introduction for this edition, in which he reviews events since the Cultural Revolution, and sets forth his own much-altered views of China. The introduction also contains fascinating experts from the `criticism and self-criticism session' on the book which the author underwent in Shanghai in the early 1970s. Readership: Chinese and Western researchers and general readers. The volume contains photographs taken by Hunter himself and a new introduction which reviews events that have occurred since the Cultural Revolution and Hunter's own much-altered views of China.
