Shadow Work

Throughout life, we are taught to suppress the parts of ourselves that are deemed undesirable and horrifying according to societal standards. However, those unconscious thoughts and whims will eventually surface at some point. The more you try to escape them, the closer they become. Writing has enabled me to get in touch with my shadow self. Because of this, I am able to live an authentic life and have the confidence to be vulnerable since all my scars are just trophies that life has given me for healing the pain which once ailed me...
