The original member countries of the OECD are Austria, The review of the education systems participating in the OECD study focussed on certain themes. These were 1) the current status of the system, its governance, administration, financing, and the main reforms; 2) equity and access issues; 3) early childhood education and care; 4) quality issues, in relation to standards, curriculum teaching and learning methods, textbooks and materials, and learning outcomes.
