Principles of Soldering

Priority is given to the fundamental principles that underlie this field of technology rather than recipes for making joints. Containing approximately 200 figures and 60 tables, this book updates and greatly expands the soldering content in the book Principles of Soldering and Brazing (1993) by the same authors. A companion volume, Principles of Brazing, is in development. The authors have expanded and revised 1993's Principles of Soldering and Brazing, now treating the two topics in separate volumes. This volume addresses the fundamental principles of soldering technology, rather than offering detailed recipes. Chapters discuss the metallurgy of solders, environmental factors, the role of materials in defining process constraints, and recent technological advances in soldering.
