A Preferred Blur picks up where A Dull Roar left off, chronicling the effects of a self-inflicted schedule designed to reduce sleep, over stimulate to the point of stupor and induce a case of nervous exhaustion. A marathoner's depression was the desired effect which was achieved on 12-31-07 when the book comes to an end with the two word sentiment that got the whole project started in the first place. Henry Rollins is the perpetrator of several books and has for nearly 30 years, been sneaking into many venues of the entertainment industry in an attempt to keep things lively and stay off the bre.;00; 01; 02; 03; 04; 05; 06; 07; 08; 09; 10; 11; 12; 13; 14; 15; 16; 17; 18. 2007 was a very busy year for Henry Rollins. He traveled to Iran, Syria, Lebanon, and Pakistan, where he was staying when Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. While traveling, Rollins performed numerous spoken word shows and worked on films, his IFC television show, and Harmony in My Head, his popular weekly radio show. In short, a quintessentially Rollins-ian year: sleepless, nonstop, and highly productive.
