Several German soldiers in world war two had camera's with them during their tour. Mainly for personal reasons; to capture their training, friends, comrads, their days in the fields and later battlefields. They could be send home to girlfriends, wives, parents, family or friends but these photo souvenirs also winded up in their own photoalbums, often supplied by the Nazi government. This book series are a collection of photos, originating from several personal photo albums of soldiers of Nazi Germany. They are giving us an insight in the lives of common soldiers, mainly during their training, in the prelude towards war and the horrors of the war itself.
