This is one of the first volumes tobe published in the series of Chapman andHall Chemistry Saurcebaaks which provides carefully tailored information to workers in specialized areas of chemistry. Theinformation contained in this book is derived from the Dictianary af Organametallic Campaunds, published in November 1984. The organametallic derivatives of germanium, tin and leadform an important group of compounds which merit study in their own right. Furthermore, manycompounds, particularly those of tin, are finding increasing commercial application as weB as being usefullaboratory reagents in organic synthesis. It is therefore anticipated thatthis particular compendium will reach a wide readership. The databank on the properties of organametallic compounds, which is represented in its current form by the Dictianary af Organametallic Campaunds and its subset publications such as this volume, will be kept continuously up-to-date.
