One Split Second

Jilliana wasn't long out of a drink and drug rehabilitation!! This time was going to be different, she was going to beat the booze, and make her kids proud ... two months later, she's in a relationship with a 'drug' relapser, and it's not long before she relapses herself ... EVERYTHING was going wrong, this wasn't what she wanted ..... then she meets a guy, who is a million miles away from the addicts she is used to. For once she knows he won't beat her, won't rape her, won't feed her drink, just, treat her with some dignity. On Bank Holiday Monday 25th August,... she has had a drink, but isn't really drunk, when, she unwittingly gets roped into a diving competition by a bunch of butch guys, she has second thoughts, but pride takes over, pride before a fall ... never a truer saying ... balancing on the slab of the cliff, toes curled around desparately, deep breath .. ready to take her dive, suddenly someone shouts 'JUILLIANNA'!! in that, ............... one split second... On a beautiful Bank Holiday Monday 25th August 2003, coming back from shopping in the city, all excited about her date that night, she decides to takes the long way home via the harbour.
