Wright Mills, Jeremy Boissevain, Dean Jaensch. All of these writers have had to address the same problem - that faced by every researcher - how to develop a system of note-taking and filing which allows for quick and faithful retrieval of information; which fits their particular temperament and the requirements of their work; and also stimulates creativity. Although there is considerable diversity in method, and some difference of opinion, there are also many similarities.
