Northern Italian Writing: Analisi scrittologiche e scrittometriche di testi in italiano settentrionale antico dalle origini al 1525

Paul Videsott examines the fate of the vernacular non-literary written language in Northern Italy from its first appearance up to 1525 (the year of publication of P. Bembo’s __Prose della volgar lingua__ ). For this, he undertakes a scriptological and scriptometric analysis of 1165 non-literary Old North Italian texts with a total of 558,892 words from 35 writing centres. Overall, one result is that the North Italian dialects displayed a far greater autonomy towards the emerging Tuscan norm than was the case in France for the Northern French dialects vis-à-vis the imperial Parisian standard language. Il lavoro di Paul Videsott esamina il destino delle scriptae non letterarie dell’Italia settentrionale dal momento del loro apparire fino al 1525, l’anno della pubblicazione delle “Prose della volgar lingua” di P. Bembo. A tale fine si analizzano con metodi scrittologici e scrittometrici ed in base a 320 criteri grafici 1165 testimoni testuali con un totale di 558.892 parole, provenienti da 35 centri scrittori “padani”. Si dimostra che complessivamente, le scriptae italiano-settentrionali mantengono un’autonomia evidente rispetto alla norma toscana emergente, soprattutto se confrontate con il comportamento contemporaneo dei dialetti della Francia settentrionale rispetto alla norma centrale parigina. Die Beihefte pflegen ein gesamtromanisches Profil, das neben den Nationalsprachen auch die weniger im Fokus stehenden romanischen Sprachen mit einschließt. Zur Begutachtung können eingereicht werden: Monographien und Sammelbände zur Sprachwissenschaft in ihrer ganzen Breite, zur mediävistischen Literaturwissenschaft und zur Editionsphilologie. Mögliche Publikationssprachen sind Französisch, Spanisch, Portugiesisch, Italienisch und Rumänisch sowie Deutsch und Englisch. Sammelbände sollten thematisch und sprachlich in sich möglichst einheitlich gehalten sein.
