Interest in non-canonically case-marked subjects has been unceasing since the groundbreaking work of Andrews and Masica in the late 70's who were the first to document the existence of syntactic subjects in another morphological case than the nominative. Their research was focused on Icelandic and South-Asian languages, respectively, and since then, oblique subjects have been reported for language after language throughout the world. This newfangled recognition of the concept of oblique subjects at the time was followed by discussions of the role and validity of subject tests, discussions of the verbal semantics involved, as well as discussions of the theoretical implications of this case marking strategy of syntactic subjects. This volume contributes to all these debates, making available research articles on different languages and language families, additionally highlighting issues like language contact, differential subject marking and the origin of oblique subjects. 001_1L 1 001_2R 2 002_1L 3 002_2R 4 003_1L 5 003_2R 6 004_1L 7 004_2R 8 005_1L 9 005_2R 10 006_1L 11 006_2R 12 007_1L 13 007_2R 14 008_1L 15 008_2R 16 009_1L 17 009_2R 18 010_1L 19 010_2R 20 011_1L 21 011_2R 22 012_1L 23 012_2R 24 013_1L 25 013_2R 26 014_1L 27 014_2R 28 015_1L 29 015_2R 30 016_1L 31 016_2R 32 017_1L 33 017_2R 34 018_1L 35 018_2R 36 019_1L 37 019_2R 38 020_1L 39 020_2R 40 021_1L 41 021_2R 42 022_1L 43 022_2R 44 023_1L 45 023_2R 46 024_1L 47 024_2R 48 025_1L 49 025_2R 50 026_1L 51 026_2R 52 027_1L 53 027_2R 54 028_1L 55 028_2R 56 029_1L 57 029_2R 58 030_1L 59 030_2R 60 031_1L 61 031_2R 62 032_1L 63 032_2R 64 033_1L 65 033_2R 66 034_1L 67 034_2R 68 035_1L 69 035_2R 70 036_1L 71 036_2R 72 037_1L 73 037_2R 74 038_1L 75 038_2R 76 039_1L 77 039_2R 78 040_1L 79 040_2R 80 041_1L 81 041_2R 82 042_1L 83 042_2R 84 043_1L 85 043_2R 86 044_1L 87 044_2R 88 045_1L 89 045_2R 90 046_1L 91 046_2R 92 047_1L 93 047_2R 94 048_1L 95 048_2R 96 049_1L 97 049_2R 98 050_1L 99 050_2R 100 051_1L 101 051_2R 102 052_1L 103 052_2R 104 053_1L 105 053_2R 106 054_1L 107 054_2R 108 055_1L 109 055_2R 110 056_1L 111 056_2R 112 057_1L 113 057_2R 114 058_1L 115 058_2R 116 059_1L 117 059_2R 118 060_1L 119 060_2R 120 061_1L 121 061_2R 122 062_1L 123 062_2R 124 063_1L 125 063_2R 126 064_1L 127 064_2R 128 065_1L 129 065_2R 130 066_1L 131 066_2R 132 067_1L 133 067_2R 134 068_1L 135 068_2R 136 069_1L 137 069_2R 138 070_1L 139 070_2R 140 071_1L 141 071_2R 142 072_1L 143 072_2R 144 073_1L 145 073_2R 146 074_1L 147 074_2R 148 075_1L 149 075_2R 150 076_1L 151 076_2R 152 077_1L 153 077_2R 154 078_1L 155 078_2R 156 079_1L 157 079_2R 158 080_1L 159 080_2R 160 081_1L 161 081_2R 162 082_1L 163 082_2R 164 083_1L 165 083_2R 166 084_1L 167 084_2R 168 085_1L 169 085_2R 170 086_1L 171 086_2R 172 087_1L 173 087_2R 174 088_1L 175 088_2R 176 089_1L 177 089_2R 178 090_1L 179 090_2R 180 091_1L 181 091_2R 182 092_1L 183 092_2R 184 093_1L 185 093_2R 186 094_1L 187 094_2R 188 095_1L 189 095_2R 190 096_1L 191 096_2R 192 097_1L 193 097_2R 194 098_1L 195 098_2R 196 099_1L 197 099_2R 198 100_1L 199 100_2R 200 101_1L 201 101_2R 202 102_1L 203 102_2R 204 103_1L 205 103_2R 206 104_1L 207 104_2R 208 105_1L 209 105_2R 210 106_1L 211 106_2R 212 107_1L 213 107_2R 214 108_1L 215 108_2R 216 109_1L 217 109_2R 218 110_1L 219 110_2R 220 111_1L 221 111_2R 222 112_1L 223 112_2R 224 113_1L 225 113_2R 226 114_1L 227 114_2R 228 115_1L 229 115_2R 230 116_1L 231 116_2R 232 117_1L 233 117_2R 234 118_1L 235 118_2R 236 119_1L 237 119_2R 238 120_1L 239 120_2R 240 121_1L 241 121_2R 242 122_1L 243 122_2R 244 123_1L 245 123_2R 246 124_1L 247 124_2R 248 125_1L 249 125_2R 250 126_1L 251 126_2R 252 127_1L 253 127_2R 254 128_1L 255 128_2R 256 129_1L 257 129_2R 258 130_1L 259 130_2R 260 131_1L 261 131_2R 262 132_1L 263 132_2R 264 133_1L 265 133_2R 266 134_1L 267 134_2R 268 135_1L 269 135_2R 270 136_1L 271 136_2R 272 137_1L 273 137_2R 274 138_1L 275 138_2R 276 139_1L 277 139_2R 278 140_1L 279 140_2R 280 141_1L 281 141_2R 282 142_1L 283 142_2R 284 143_1L 285 143_2R 286 Chapter 1.
