My France focuses on some of the most intriguing aspects of French life: politics, myths, personalities, public problems, actions, and conflicts. The topics Weber treats range from sports to religion, and include comments on folklore, national socialism, antisemitism, and famous Frenchmen. In ch. 13 (pp. 261-284), "Nationalism, Socialism, and National Socialism, " refers on pp. 280-282 also to the place of antisemitism in the early French socialist ideology, especially the role of the Jewish-Masonic conspiracy allegation. Ch. 14 (pp. 285-297), "Jews, Antisemitism, and the Origins of the Holocaust, " relates the issue of explaining antisemitism and the Holocaust to the role of cultural tradition in France. Mentions as components of modern anti-Judaism the religious indoctrination in society, the use of antisemitism for political purposes by the Left, and the stereotype of "the Jewish parvenu." Discusses the difference between other genocides and the Holocaust. In eliminating other communities, modern society has become more exhaustive and efficient, having the necessary technological and administrative means. In order to isolate and annihilate the Jews, they were dehumanized, using a whole treasury of prejudices and resentments.
