Moplah Riots

Moplah rebellion which originated in the southern Malayalam district, in 1097 Chingam, (Malayalam month of Aug-Sept) has written a blood stained chapter in the history of Kerala. That typhoon, which shook not only Kerala but the whole of India in one way or other due to the ferocious and satanic cruelties inflicted (on a section of people) defeating all faculties of contemplation is now luckily almost extinct. It is true that the Hindu society which has escaped and come out of the mouth of this rebellion, tasting the coarseness of its tongue and sharpness of its canine teeth and jaws, and imbibed with poisonous fangs, are representatives of an ancient culture......... The book is a detailed account of the 1921 Moplah rebellion in North Kerala which saw forced conversion to Islam, mass murder of Hindus and destruction of Hindu temples. The book is written by noted historian and journalist Tirur Dinesh after twenty five years of research. In writing this book, the author has personally met both victims and also perpetrators of the riot and gained first hand information not found elsewhere. The book is a must have for anyone interested in knowing the true nature of Moplah riots.
