Methods and means of vibration protection of railway carriages are described. Mathematical foundations of the theory of calculation and design of typical spring suspension systems and systems based on the principle of compensation of external disturbances are given, as well as algorithms for forming control actions that ensure the achievement of the required quality of vibration protection of objects.The article shows a close relationship between the dynamic qualities of vibration protection systems for railway carriages and the safety and efficiency of long-distance transport.
