Written in 1888, this starts with Part III of fragments towards the knowledge of the geography and history of Central and Western Asia from the thirteenth to the seventeenth century. Trbner's Oriental Series was set up by Kegan Paul Trench & Trbner in 1890. It was undoubtedly the most important English language series in oriental studies of the period, publishing works between 1890 and 1930.
