Take 30 seconds out of your day and watch a dog, how it treats people, how it loves unconditionally, why it is called “man’s best friend.” The simplest of creatures can teach us the most about life, simplest because that is how we view them, whether animals or children. Quite often, they are far wiser than are we, the adult humans.Bonus Material: I Want to Believe by Jason WallaceThis poem is not to say that I do not believe in God and in Christ, the means of my salvation, nor that I discredit them or do not hold them dear to my heart always. This is about people shoving their exact beliefs down my throat and expecting me to believe 100% of what they believe, without ever hearing my side or believing that there could be room for leeway or, at least, to hear someone else out, that someone else might have valid points to make. Not everything is always so easy or easy to believe. Sometimes, one person’s faith does not match up entirely with another person’s, thus, the reason for reasonable, logical, ethical, and heartfelt conversations that allow both sides to state their beliefs, opinions, thoughts, musings, and engage one another, and, perhaps, learn from one another about that light that comes from Christ and from within, from a personal relationship with the Master. Have you ever watched a dog, how easily it loves and how it doesn't care who a person is, what they've done, where they came from, etc.? Does not a dog love more than most people and without regard to any trivial matters by which humans judge one another? Take mere moments to watch the behaviors of a dog and how it treats people. You can learn a lot from such a simple creature, as it has the love that we humans are still trying to master.
