معرفی کتاب «Life at the Cell And Beyond Cell Level The Hidden History of a Fundamental Revolution in Biology» نوشتهٔ Gilbert N. Ling، منتشرشده توسط نشر Pacific Press در سال 2001. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است.

Gilbert N. Ling (b. Dec 26 1919, Nanking, China; US citizen) is a cell physiologist, Biochemist and scientific investigator and author of five books relating to his revolutionary Association Induction Hypothesis. His most recent book published in 2014 is entitled What is Life Answered? Ling, during 50 years of research from 1946, has carried out numerous scientific experiments that attempt to disprove the view of the cell as a membrane containing a number of pumps such as the sodium potassium pump and the calcium pump and channels that engage in active transport. In 1962 he introduced the Association Induction Hypothesis (AIH), a unifying, general theory of the living cell, an alternative hypothesis to the Membrane and Membrane pump theories and three years later added the Polarized-oriented multilayer theory of cell water which contributed to the development of MRI Cancer Imaging. In 1944 he won the biology slot of the sixth Boxer Indemnity Scholarship, a nationwide competitive examination that allowed Chinese science and engineering students full scholarship to study in a United States University. In 1947 he co-developed the Gerard-Graham-Ling microelectrode, a device that allows scientists to more accurately measure the electrical potentials of living cells. Amazon review: I found this book to be a refresher course on cellular biology that gives a correct history of the events which have derailed our understanding of the body's cellular metabolism. It made me realize the importance of key metabolism elements like WATER and POTASSIUM which are hardly ever promoted simply because they do not contribute to pharmaceutical drug sales. Reads like a novel, well documented with scientific references. A must read for anybody that demands TRUTH. The author's biggest concern is that the association-induction (AI) hypothesis has not yet replaced the membrane-pump theory in high school and college curricula (Ling doubts cells have the energy to pump). He outlines the rise and slow fall of the membrane and membrane pump theories, and the growth of AI. Ling—who has written several books published by Blaisdell, Perseus, and Krieger—is an employee of the Fonar Corporation, makers of MRI devices and the parent company of Pacific Press, whose only book this is to date. The volume's production values and editorial standards are not first rate, perhaps to keep the price low in hopes of wide distribution.

Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com) " ... This volume is presented as a story or history starting from the moment Mankind began to peek into the microscopic world of cells and microbes with the invention of microscopes-and even earlier, much earlier-continuing through landmark events of false starts and new insights put away for the wrong reasons etc., etc., culminating in the association-induction hypothesis of today."--Vii
