This small book looks comprehensively at the archaeological sites at the entrance to the fertile Fayum province, surrounding the town of al-Lahun. The sites are all of great importance and range from the First to the Twenty-second Dynasty, including Kahun, one of the largest ancient town-sites excavated in Egypt.
