Con l’aiuto della letteratura sanscrita, l’unica che per la sua antichità può, secondo Rendich, avvicinarsi alla verità, l’autore cerca di ricostruire l’origine e l’evoluzione della prima lingua indoeuropea. In ambito linguistico parte dal presupposto che i nomi dati alle cose non siano nati arbitrariamente bensì mettendo insieme i suoni di consonanti e vocali in modo da poter descrivere almeno uno dei caratteri essenziali dell’oggetto o dell’azione presentata. In ambito teologico Rendich identifica le principali divinità indoeuropee con tarde personificazioni dei due Oceani celesti che in base ad antiche credenze erano considerati i veri artefici del mondo e dell’universo. In ambito geografico infine l’autore identifica nel Polo Nord il luogo d’origine della civiltà occidentale e la fonte più antica della nostra identità culturale. Professore Franco Rendich is a scholar of linguistics, the Indo-European languages and a Sanskritist. This work (in Italian) is a full exposition of his theory (with exhaustive examples) on the relations between early fundamental Indo-european (the "Mother Language" of Sanskrit, Greek and Latin) and ( I guess among other things) modern Italian. This is not a dry work (how could it be when Sanskrit itself is likened unto the ocean??)...for Professore Rendich, by going to the roots of words, brings out the brilliant (and not unscientific) cosmic vision of the universe as expressed in the early Vedic hymns (Rg Veda). The hitherto unknown history of the formation of ancient Indo-European verb roots and their primary derivatives. From which, with particular phonetic variants described herein, are derived, over thousands of years, the words of Sanskrit, Greek and Latin.
