Journey into the Heart of Bipolarity : an Artistic Point of View

He holds a special interest in educational principles and methods, whether addressed to students and care-givers or related to the psychoeducation of the patients and their families. His basic-research activity in structural and functional biology at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research, the INSERM (U538) involves studying the anomalies of membrane traffic in schizophrenia. He is an active member of a number of scholarly societies: International Society for Bipolar Disorders, Schizophrenia International Research Society, International Early Psychosis Association and the Société Française de psychiatrie biologique. He participates in many work groups on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Dr Nuss is also an expert for the French Health Regulation Authority. ## Marie Sellier A graduate of the Institut d'Études Politiques of Paris, Marie Sellier was a journalist for nearly fifteen years before moving into publishing. Having a passion for art, she started her first collection "L'enfance de l'art" in 1991 at Réunion des musées nationaux publisher. The collection today comprises eighteen books, most of which she has authored, and has been followed by another collection for the same publisher, "Des mains pour créer", at Éditions Paris-musées and "Entrée libre" at Éditions Nathan. She has written more than forty books favouring a sensitive approach of art and of the artists. Since 2000, she has combined art and fiction in children's books, including L'Afrique, petit Chaka, which sold more than 100,000 copies and won several awards. She imagined several books with the close involvement of contemporary painters: Marion Lesage, Luc Gauthier and Diagne Chanel. Her books have been translated into English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Korean. Marie Sellier lives and works in Nogent-sur-Marne, in the greater Paris area.
