John G. Lake was a leader in the early 20th century Pentecostal Movement which spread rapidly across the world. He is known for his astounding ministry of healing as well as a missionary to South Africa. Together with Thomas Hezmalhalch he co-founded the Apostolic Faith Mission of South Africa and played a major role in the spread of Pentecostalism in southern Africa - the most successful southern African religious movement of the 20th century.
