This publication contains acronyms from a variety of disciplines and walks of life; not only officially acknowledged abbreviations, but also out-of-date forms as well as those in general everyday use. The main part with supplementary annuals for the years 2000-2006 have over 1 million entries. This extensive database is now being updated and indexed for individual fields of science and areas of society. Records approximately 68,000 entries with the corresponding terms in two volumes. Volume 1 lists the abbreviations in alphabetical order giving their corresponding terms. Volume 2 presents the terms and their corresponding abbreviations the other way around.
