Indications of Miasms

Dr. Hanemann conceived miasmas as two types of infecting agent, Psora infects human beings as soon as it touches; Syphilis and Sycosis infect people through impure sexual contact. He described Psora as non-venereal and other two as venereal type of miasms. Bacterial agents have been isolated in cases of Syphilis and Sycosis while Psora can be termed as multi bacterial miasm. Therefore, it stands that miasms are nothing but bacterial infections and at some stage these have been suppressed by antipathic treatment and become the fundamental cause of chronic diseases.
