In Here, I Mend is a collection of poems and prose about self-healing, pain, and growth. Its a story about how each of us can get lost in the journey of our transitions and how we find ourselves back through the process of mending. It is a beautiful journey that is unique for each of us. Its an endless road of healing and learning as we go through the seasons of our growth. This book is a reminder that self-love is more than just taking care of ones self. But mostly, it is about learning how to sit with your fears, to sit with your thoughts, and ruthlessly accept yourself in all its glory and days of brokenness. It is about loving and giving to yourself first, before sharing yourself with the world without leaving your cup empty. Janine Canono is a writer and poet based in the Philippines. She self-published her very first poetry and prose book entitled In Here, Always in 2021, which is about the beautiful transitions of human emotions in between love, happiness, pain, growth, and healing. She has always been passionate about writing and poetry, which ultimately inspired her to pursue her dream of publishing a book. Excerpt from the book In Here, I Mend: They say, time heals.
