Implementing Distributed Systems with Java and CORBA

معرفی کتاب «Implementing Distributed Systems with Java and CORBA» نوشتهٔ Dr. Markus Aleksy, Dr. Axel Korthaus, Professor Dr. Martin Schader (auth.)، منتشرشده توسط نشر Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg در سال 2005. این کتاب در فرمت pdf، زبان انگلیسی ارائه شده است. «Implementing Distributed Systems with Java and CORBA» در دستهٔ بدون دسته‌بندی قرار دارد.

This book addresses readers interested in the design and development of distributed software systems with Java and CORBA. The programming language Java, first introduced by Sun Microsystems in 1995 in an attempt to remedy some of the deficiencies of C++, has me- while pervaded all fields of software development. CORBA, the Common Object Request Broker Architecture, is an industry standard that enables the platform- and programming l- guage-independent implementation of distributed object-oriented systems. When developing and testing the examples and exercises for this book, we used three diff- ent Object Request Broker products (ORBs) that are available free of charge. The first is JacORB 2.2, a Java object request broker originated in the CS department at Freie Univer- TM sität Berlin, see http://www.jacorb.org. The second one is part of Sun’s Java 2 Platform Standard Edition 5.0 Development Kit (JDK), see http://java.sun.com. The third ORB is OpenORB 1.3.1 developed by the Community OpenORB Project, see http://openorb.sf.net. Detailed information on downloading, installing, and c- tomizing these ORBs can be found in Appendix E and at the book’s website http://www. wifo.uni-mannheim.de/CORBA in subdirectory ORB. "The book addresses readers interested in the design and development of distributed software systems relying on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA). CORBA is an industry standard that has considerably changed the way modern information systems are developed." "It enables the platform-independent and programming language-independent implementation of distributed object-oriented systems and also supports the migration of legacy systems into modern architectures. The book is intended in particular for students of computer science and management information systems in their graduate studies, as well as for practitioners and professional software developers who are looking for fast access to CORBA technology and want to profit from meaningful code examples. Three different ORBs, examples, and exercises with solutions are available for download."--BOOK JACKET Preliminaries....Pages 1-3 Introduction....Pages 5-11 Concepts of the CORBA Standard....Pages 13-25 Introduction to the Interface Definition Language....Pages 27-63 IDL to Java Mapping....Pages 65-88 Important Elements of the ORB Runtime....Pages 89-129 A First Example....Pages 131-152 Generating Remote Objects....Pages 153-160 Alternatives for Designing IDL Interfaces....Pages 161-169 Inheritance and Polymorphism....Pages 171-185 Implementing Distributed Callbacks....Pages 187-195 Utilizing Value Types....Pages 197-210 Utilizing Interfaces of the DynamicAny Module....Pages 211-233 Dynamic Invocation Interface....Pages 235-253 Dynamic Skeleton Interface....Pages 255-261 Implementing Different POAs....Pages 263-268 CORBA's Naming Service....Pages 269-295 CORBA's Event Service....Pages 297-317
